Making your L-Email Wig Stretch
So there's a wig company online known as L-Email. The wigs are really great quality and easy to take care of.The problem? Any of the ponytail/pigtailed wigs don't stretch where normal wigs do. The reason? The wefting they add at the base of the wig to allow the wig to be pulled up is sewn right onto the elastic without stretching it out. So the elastic is more or less useless. However! There is a cure for this issue! All you need is a pair of small scissors.Step one:Take your wig and pull the adjusting straps out of their holder. This will make the process a lot easier.Step two:With your small scissors, slide them underneath the wefting and gently snip one or two stitches. Be careful not cut the elastic or hairs.Step three:Take the small scissors and cut the wefting line where you just loosened the threads.Again! Be careful not to cut the elastic or hairs! If you stretch the wig out again, you'll see that the elastic will be working!Step four: Continue to make these small snips throughout the bottom of the wig across the elastic. I vary from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch between snips. The result?Working elastic across the base of the wig! And what about the outside of the wig?No visible differences were found while wearing and while stretching the wig out.So now, people that have problems with L-email wigs not fitting will be able to start ordering them again!
