Rabbit Tales – A History in the Making

Introduction

Rabbit and Rabbit Tales

Rabbit has always creative and curious to learn. Ever since she received her first tub of Legos, she’s been constantly building. As she grow, so did her love for crafts and learning. In middle school, she took every craft related class she could. It was the same in high school as well. During her senior year of high school, Rabbit’s art teacher agreed to have her as a student assistant where Rabbit learned she had a passion for teaching as much as creating.

It was the year after high school, during a sleepless night of thinking, that Rabbit had a revelation: she should open a business with all these different crafts and also start offering classes/tutorials so other people can learn from her!

It was an amazing idea. Now she had to decide on a name. It was already a late night of sleepless thinking, so she continues to think. Rabbit had been a recent nickname she received thanks to a recent cosplay build and she was embracing the name more a more.

Once again, the idea struck: Rabbit Tales. A play on words and ideas. Most people would think it was tails, which would give her a chance to explain, “no, no. Tales. As in stories. Every craft is a new chapter for me.”

The idea would sit in the back of her mind for months until it finally sounded right and a basic idea was formed. Then, it would a few years before Rabbit Tales would become what it is now.

Lion and the Craft Bug

Lion wasn’t much of a crafter. His love for art came from his father who had a lovely talent for drawing. He did, though, have an eye for Rabbit and enjoyed watching her love of crafting. He wanted to see Rabbit Tales grow after listening to Rabbit ramble about all the ideas she had for it. He agreed that going to conventions and applying for artist alley tables would be a great start. During the first tabled event, Lion felt a little lost. He enjoyed watching Rabbit make all these amazing things, but had nothing to show for himself.

A few events later, Lion caught himself admiring some etched glass-work at another table. After a bit of of convincing from Rabbit, he went over to the table and asked about the process. After that event, the couple got the necessary supplies to have Lion start this new craft.

The crafting bug had infected Lion.

Pretty soon he was asking about more crafts he could learn, and offering to run panels about them as well. The infection of making Rabbit Tales bigger had spread.
